Reporting to the President, International and a member of the International Executive Leadership team the role of International HR Director was responsible for developing & implementing the HR strategy across the International business. The International business spanned 12 country locations across EMEA (UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Czech Republic, South Africa) and Asia Pacific (Singapore, China, India, Australia, Japan) with approx. 500 employees contributing $100M of revenues.As part of the Executive Leadership team contributed to the strategic planning for the International business. Translated business objectives into deliverable people agenda.Managed an HR team of 9 in UK, Europe and Asia Pacific, responsible for personal and professional development of the team. Further responsible for the Facilities / Office Services team of 5.Responsible for the timely and effective delivery of operational HR - employee relations, recruitment & selection, performance management & training, compensation & benefits programmes, change management - across the International Business.Worked closely with the business to implement incentive schemes aimed at rewarding high performance.Supported the business through organisation change.Responsible for maintaining communications links with employees across the business and worked closely with the business to maintain and improve employee engagement. Served as “Besturder” on the Dutch Works Council.Developed HR policy & procedure with reference to both best practice and Company culture and objectives.Managed expatriate programmes and associated tax compliance.Responsible for Health & Safety across the International business.Responsible for Facilities Management across the International business.

Reporting to the International HR Director and with over 350 salaried expatriates worldwide including over 100 UK based expatriates, the key responsibilities of these International roles were to;- Develop, maintain and oversee the implementation of the overseas assignment policies- Manage expatriate compensation and benefits- Manage the expatriation and inpatriation of personnel to/from the UK- Provide international policy guidance, compensation and benefits and employment advice - Acting HR Manager to registered CB&I office in Amsterdam .- Appointed to the board of our Global Employment Company based in Ireland.
