Management of 36 specialist aircrew personnel, to deliver high profile operational output in support of UK national interests, both within the UK and overseas. Forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, with the responsible delivery of effective leadership, management and professional development to meet current and future operational requirements. Responsible for talent and succession management of 70 aircrew at various career stages.- Accountable lead for the management and implementation of quality and safety control policy and processes to an operational aviation squadron consisting of 180 multi-discipline personnel; reducing safety critical incidents whilst delivering tangible improvements to flying proficiency through effective training plans.- Provision of career and aircrew talent management to ensure effective individual and teams were maintained to deliver operational effect and succession planning for key roles. Utilising critical thinking and analysis of emerging capability requirements to devise effective training packages that address key skills and experience gaps.- Provided effective Environmental Health and Safety (ESH) leadership to ensure internal and external regulations compliance, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of crews and other airspace users. Providing internal and 3rd party assurance capabilities to ensure operational effectiveness and policy compliance within a closely regulated and compliant environment.- Planned, led and managed the deployment of aviation assets and support personnel, often at short notice to a wide variety of land and maritime environments at both home and overseas. Providing the leadership, administrative oversight, technical, logistical and Real Life Support required to sustain all deployed elements.

Accountable lead for 15 instructional staff with responsibilities for the delivery of Defence standardised aviation flying training to c.40 personnel per annum. Providing mentorship and professional advice to newly qualified and early career aircrew, ensuring welfare and professional needs were always met.- Provided management and assurance for operational readiness training. Acting as the focal point for support and welfare agencies and the logistical support required to sustain a 100 strong multi-discipline support team. Holding financial accountability for public and private budgets of c£300,000, ensuring accurate accounting and VfM- Line and Task management of a team of 15 direct reports, supporting personal and professional growth needs, whilst ensuring maintenance of care competencies and training requirements.- Providing direction, guidance and coaching required to develop core leadership and empowerment behaviours throughout the organisation; personally, being recognised as an above average (A2) Central Flying School Instructor (CFS).- Provided critical tactical flying training across all aircrew specialisations, in both live and synthetic training environment.- Trusted and experienced operative, provided direct feedback from frontline military operations to deliver a timely and effective mechanism to continuously improve training delivery; ensuring deploying forces were best trained to deliver military effect.

Rotary Wing Evaluation And Tactical Training Unit (Rweotu), Raf Benson

Senior platform evaluation officer, testing and evaluating enhancements to both equipment and operational output. Lead air to ground (a2g) gunnery instructor, responsible for standardisation of training to ensure training delivery remains relevant to current tactics, accurate and efficient.- Managed the performance of key contractors to ensure quality, timely and cost-effective delivery of all project phases with the programme, reporting project and programme status, budget and key risk and issues to appropriate management levels.- Responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of training and standardisation of all Qualified Helicopter Tactics Instructors (QHTI), for all battlefield helicopter types, in the UK and European Defence Agency (EDA).- Delivered air to ground gunnery financial efficiencies by reducing the overall ammunition expenditure, representing a year on year saving of c.£120,000.- Directly supported the contract tender process for new capability works, reviewing requirements and tender proposals from industry third parties to ensure shortlisting and award recommendations.

Delivery manager for the instruction of ab-initio and returning aircrew in ground, synthetic and air environments. Responsible for the supervision, management and mentoring of newly qualified aircrew whilst also conducting supervisory evaluations of staff and operational aircrew. Acted as lead planner and co-ordinator by effectively managing, planning and administrating all resources.
