Strategy and Business Development Director for BT agilemedia, the UK’s most successful Participation Media company. As a founder member of the BT-owned venture, I lead the team who identified new ways for consumers to interact with media, charities, businesses and between people. We started from the point of view that advertising alone won't underpin enough innovation or support businesses as internet-based services become ubiquitous.Our research and proposition development focussed on the development of services which make consumer payment frictionless. I also led an initiative to bring the UK's leading ISPs together to develop an online micro-payments service for their customers.

Lead the development of products and services for BT Agilemedia. This included the evolution of BT's RIDE platform through 3 phases of development to increase the intelligence and capacity of the UK's largest IVR system. Currently RIDE3 successfully handles 4,000 calls per second during peak events (e.g. X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing vote finals). RIDE can also intelligently handle calls at an individual level giving a unique service to each caller. Identified the opportunity to support and drive the evolution of consumer interaction with TV, radio and print media which led to the creation of BT agilemedia - a BT-owned business. Role included defining market opportunity and requirements; identifying and assessing commercial possibilities for current and emerging communications technologies; developing products for launch in line with the business plan and identifying and reaching agreement with internal and external suppliers

Developed BT Finance sector’s proposition for on-line financial management – “Web-site Financial Aggregation”. This involved research collaboration with MIT, partnership agreements with US and Candian software companies and UK banks.

Developed and led sales for BT’s ‘Mobile Banking’ proposition. Services launched with Halifax’s direct bank, Intelligent Finance. Also worked with Abbey/Cahoot, First Direct and Co-op Bank / Smile to develop mobile banking services.
