Fur Coats For Sportsmen is a musical group.Fur Coats For Sportsmen hail from Kenosha, WI. They have a high-energy reputation for playing live shows in The Midwest. Consisting of Mike "Maulin" Mehlan on guitar and bass, Justin Misch on guitar, and Andy Singer on drums. Begining 2008, they immediately began recording demos. In the winter/spring of 2009 they wrote, recorded and released the high energy Punk/Blues/Heavy-Rock "Black Market Seats For Sale (2009)" E.P in Kenosha with Steve Sambirski at Sambirski Studios. Playing shows to support the E.P. this Summer/Fall 2009 will carry Fur Coats For Sportsmen into the new decade with high standings in the local scene in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa.Focusing on their original music Fur Coats For Sportsmen has evolved into a band influenced from the likes of Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, and the Deftones. They have only covered "Dayman" from the Fox TV series "It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia. Recording original music has helped them evolve into an upcoming entertainment act in the midwest.
