The majority of my experience has involved supporting large, industrial EPC projects in the United States and Canada. Projects have included brownfield and greenfield work at oil & gas facilities, power plants, and substations (69-230kV).Half of my time with AECOM has been spent completing design deliverables such as: - Physical plan & detail drawings (equipment, conduit & cable tray, grounding, and heat trace) - Electrical drawings (single lines, three lines, wiring diagrams, and panel schedules) - Reference documentation (equipment lists, load lists, circuit schedules, and bills of material) - Electrical calculations (cable sizing, raceway fill, battery sizing) - ETAP & SKM studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protective device coordination) - Miscellaneous (contractor scopes of work, vendor drawing review, project cost estimates, lessons learned, and procurement packages)The remainder of my time with AECOM has been spent in varying field roles as outlined below:- Field Electrical Construction Manager - Alliant Riverside - I managed a small group of electrical engineers and superintendents completing a greenfield, 2-over-1, combined-cycle gas power plant.- Field Electrical Engineer - APS Four Corners Units 4 & 5 SCR Project - I led coordination activities and resolved design/constructability issues associated with the electrical scope related to the addition of SCRs on two, 800MW coal-fired units.- Field Engineering Liaison - Suncor Fort Hills Project - Operating as the sole engineering representative, I supported and expedited the construction of six large, skidded electrical buildings constructed near Calgary, AB, Canada. - LOTO Field Electrical Engineer - Pueblo Chemical Agent-Disposal Pilot Plant - I worked hand-in-hand with site electricians to identify all potential lockout-tagout locations for a variety of circuits, then generated LOTO drawings in order to support safe plant maintenance and operation.

Naval Reactors Facility Idaho

While working at the Naval Reactors Facility, I maintained a Department of Energy L-Clearance. I was both cognizant engineer and/or the electrical backup for a variety of large, specialized pieces of industrial equipment. I wrote various work procedures used to either direct Naval Nuclear Refueling processes or to guide troubleshooting while equipment was out of service.

Rapid City, South Dakota

As a research intern, I worked with a graduate student to support his thesis on using engineered dielectrics for the purposes of miniaturizing patch antennas. My time was spent in the lab creating specimens or measuring dielectric properties of numerous engineered dielectrics.

During the summers of 2008 and 2009, I assisted on various research projects throughout the state. The most significant was the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of roadside weather & traffic monitoring towers located along many of the state's major highways.
