CurrentReporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, but planning and initiating my own work with responsibilities that include:- Optimising MFG (MRP system) Software to ensure product flow is maintained by liaising with Product Engineering staff to ensure Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) are accurate and maintaining Parts Lists for all Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.- Being an active member of the New Product Introduction Team, ensuring the latest product information is… Show more Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, but planning and initiating my own work with responsibilities that include:- Optimising MFG (MRP system) Software to ensure product flow is maintained by liaising with Product Engineering staff to ensure Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) are accurate and maintaining Parts Lists for all Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.- Being an active member of the New Product Introduction Team, ensuring the latest product information is readily available - using Excel spreadsheets, Visio diagrams and MFG software - to ensure company objectives, such as ‘Time-to-Market’ targets, are achieved.- Maintaining spread sheets to track parts and improve stock control.- Producing Manufacturing Method Files for new products and updating those already in circulation.- Setting up the initial KanBan inventory for new products.- Ensuring the correct tools are available for product build including initiation of procurement of new or replacement tools.- Working with the Production Teams in carrying out production area designs by updating and revising production area layouts as new products are introduced or older products are changed or discontinued.- Maintaining air extraction systems in the Hand Fit area through planned maintenance.- Maintaining Electro Static Discharge (ESD) test points throughout the factory.Key achievements:- Successfully planned and designed the layout of LEAN manufacturing cells, maximising the space available while taking production flow into consideration.- Was part of a team which built and set up new benches in the manufacturing area to operate using a Kanban system to control stock.
