Working in the Indirect and General Services division of the Central Purchasing Department of SAICA, a group of companies in the Paper and Packaging industry with 110 production centers across 7 countries (including UK&Irl).Responsible for the global management of 10 strategic categories on a Group level (3 Business Areas and 7 countries) with responsibility over a total annual spend of 25M €. Specific categories I lead were Printers, Forklift Trucks, Company Car Fleet, Work Wear, PPE, Pallets, Short Term Car Rental, Bailing Wire, Corporate Image and Office Material. I also have experience in the procurement of IT hardware and software, SAP projects, CAPEX investments, ISO certification, Travel and HR etc.Transferable skills: Procurement strategy development and implementation, supplier and internal stakeholder management, end to end management of commercial processes, team work and problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills, analytical thinking, multi-tasking, effective communication, working to deadlines and objectives. Main tasks:Devise the best procurement strategy for each category, together with the corresponding internal clients, and then implement across the Group level by leading, supervising and coordinating a team of local buyers across the Group. Management of tender processes from start to finish: Preparation of RFQ documents, identification of suppliers, in-depth offer analysis (quantitative and qualitative), negotiation with suppliers leading to contract award, preparation and validation of contract documents, and implementation and tracking of the new contract. Act as the central point of contact for each category, liaising between internal clients, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure optimum levels of cost, quality and service.Track KPI´s to ensure objectives are met.Use SAP to create Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, control automatic replenishment of coded materials and extract spend information and reports.
