After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, I began my career at Covenant Transport in March 1993 as a pricing analyst. I moved to several roles including Regional Sales Manager in Dallas TX in 1998, Director of Marketing in 2000 and VP Sales for the Eastern Region in 2002. I left Covenant in 2004 to join D.M. Bowman in Williamsport MD as their VP of Sales. I joined Roehl Transport in 2006 as SVP of Sales and stayed there almost 5 years. I rejoined Covenant in late 2010 as the SVP Operations. While holding that title, I've also been our interim SVP Operations of our Solutions (logistics) arm as well as SVP Operations for our subsidiary, Southern Refrigerated Transport, in Texarkana AR. I oversaw the dedicated operations at Covenant Transport and SRT. Combined with our Star Transportation affiliate, there are 1,055 trucks in the dedicated arena today. I was responsible for the on site management, driver recruiting and retention, profitability and growth. Covenant and CTG have had 4 of our most successful years in our history since 2011. A lot of it came from bringing a level of accountability to our organization unlike we'd ever seen. Our Operations Management team has done a great job of finding the right people and putting them on the right seats of the bus. Our culture has changed from losing to winning. The bar has been raised to new heights year after year. We won the illustrious "Carrier of the Year"​ awards from 4 of our top 5 customers in 2016. I joined the team at Gulf Relay in Clinton MS in October 2020. I am currently the COO of our 225 truck fleet and manage the Operations of our asset division, along with our Recruiting, Safety and Maintenance departments. I travel from my home in Chattanooga to the corporate offices in Clinton MS several times per month.
