I have a NVQ Level 3 in carpentry and joinery. I serviced my time at Fitzroy Joinery. I joined Keith Preston Joinery in April 1997. At the time there was only 4 of us in the company and I was the only joiner. Here I built windows and frames, doors and frames, but mainly staircases. A lot the work were one off items.In 2004 I left Keith Preston Joinery, at the time there was around 15 in the company. I joined Princess Yachts in the Kitparts department. After 18 months I had a chance to play cricket in New Zealand for a summer and decided it was an one off chance, which I took.When I returned I reapplied to join Princess Yachts and was accepted as a Fit-out carpenter. I spent around 9 and half years on different boatlines before applying for a position in the Development team which I was successful in getting. I spent 2 years in this position before applying for the position of Carpentry Instructor in our training centre. I was successful in this and have been in this position since July 2016.In August 2018 I decided it was time to take the next step in my career so applied for a Production Lead position. I was successful in the interview and started as Production Lead on S60 on 1st October 2018.In January 2022 I left Princess Yachts after over 15 and half years and started as Workshop Manager at ARJ Cre8 Ltd.In October 2023 I returned back to Princess Yachts and back on my tools as a fit out carpenter.In May 2024 I was asked to join Setag because of my previous experience as a plug maker when working in Development for Princess Yachts.In December 2025 I joined Timeless Construction/Spaces as Workshop foreman. My main duties are working on my tools helping to build units for the Sheppard huts. Also, to run the workshop organising work and help organise the new part of the workshop.
