Andy West joined the Philosophy Foundation in 2010 after completing his degree, and has since done philosophy in southeast London state schools, SEN schools, Muslim schools, prisons, Great Ormand Street Hospital. He's a contributor to the award-winning book The Philosophy Shop and his work with children with special educational needs features in the April 2015 edition of Special Children. He has written about his work in the Guardian and the Times Education Supplement. Previously, Andy has worked as a conflict mediator, a befriender for the National Autistic Society and did medium term interventions as an ESOL teacher with young people who are refugees in London.
