I assisted Cornhill in the UAE for a few weeks, introducing them to new brokerages before returning to the UK after several years living and working in the Middle East. We are looking to break into the UK market so my responsibilities have been to source relationships, understand this market and liaise with all departments in the company to develop suitable products. I have actively promoted the company to new and old contacts and continue to flourish in our chosen markets. I have been providing training and presented to key decision makers at the firms we are working with.

I was headhunted by Forthplus to manage the sales arm of the company. They were a new player in the International Pension market and I was responsible for promotion and generating volume business for their UK Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). I forged new relationships with brokerages in the UK, Europe, US, Africa and the Far East, achieving instant results, exceeding the company’s projections. I provided training and support to the advisers and brought many new groups to the company, demonstrating that I was an instrumental part of making the company a success.

At Prestige I marketed a range of niche funds and products to advisers, Banks and investors in the Middle East. Most of my time was spent in Dubai and Abu Dhabi but I managed accounts throughout the MENA region, from Lebanon to Sri Lanka. I increased business volumes significantly by introducing new connections to the company and established a secure presence in the Middle East. I provided training, arranged seminars and exhibitions and assisted with all sales and administration queries. I recruited and trained two members to my team and ensured they met the company’s expectations. I actively targeted Institutional Investors and forged profitable long-term relationships with many of these groups. They still continue to benefit from all the hard work I did during my time with them.

My role as Sales Consultant with Scottish Equitable was identical to my role within Clerical Medical. This was also based in and around North London and I regularly exceeded my annual targets. Predominantly, I was dealing with smaller IFA firms, but progressed to establishing relationships and working with larger local IFAs. In my last full year I achieved 146% of my Sales Target.
