Andy Wright is an Independent Financial Training Consultant, specialising in Accounting and Finance, with particular emphasis on finance awareness for non-financial managers and non-executive directors. Andy trained as an accountant and is a qualified FCCA. He is also a qualified teacher in further and higher education, and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Warwick. Andy spent the first 14 years of his career gaining a thorough grounding in accounting systems and procedures whilst working for professional accounting firms and medium and large size corporations. He then switched to Education, becoming a college tutor in accountancy. He rapidly progressed, ultimately to the position of Head of a Business School in the UK West Midlands. During this time he took on a number of appointments as visiting tutor, and external assessor, as well as operating a part-time accountancy practice, and co-authoring a study manual on financial management. In 2004, Andy joined the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF), and became their Head of Business School, helping to develop and expand their accountancy programmes, and masters degree programmes. He stepped down from this role in 2009, to become an independent financial training consultant. He continues to deliver financial training programmes for LSBF, and its partner in France, Grenoble Graduate School of Business, as well as other clients in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, in the corporate sector, voluntary sector, and public sector. He is also a mentor and project/dissertation supervisor for students from around the world.
