I am helping to build a foundation set on principles and personality. Ideas always sound great in the abstract so I love to test those ideas by sketching them on paper, prototyping to understand the flow, and getting screens in the hands of real people to test those ideas quickly. If those ideas fail early, then it's a win in the right direction. It's good to be in the trenches at times, but also to get above the forrest to understand the big picture. I work with a team of developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to design great software everyday and it feels great to just make things work. It's not enough to just design new features, but to make sure those features are validated and bring value to the business and consumer. I continue to master my craft of designing, and never stop learning.

QRMemorials explores the use of QR code technologies to enrich your memories of deceased loved ones, and to improve your understanding of historical sites and markers. We engrave QR codes on a small metal plaques that can be placed in various memorial locations. When scanned with a smartphone, the visitor is taken to a memorial webpage that consists of stories, images, and videos of the deceased loved one. Through the use of these new technologies, QRMemorials strives to provide value to individuals, families, and business.
