Andy learned his trade as a musician on the Isle of Wight, going on to study Commercial Music at Bath Spa University. In 2007 he became the drummer for pop/rock quartet Go:Audio (signed to Sony BMG). Having spent time on the road with bands such as McFly & Scouting For Girls, the band went on to experience four sell out headline tours, a 'Best British Newcomer' nomination at the Kerrang Awards and a top 40 hit with 'Made Up Stories'. Andy is the Music Industry Liaison for Platform One Music College on the Isle of Wight (partnered with University of Chichester). The aim is to bring the music industry to aspiring musicians and artists, in the hope of inspiring and engaging those who wish to further their careers. Andy curates and hosts ‘Inside the Industry’, a conference that is designed for both music students and the wider community, allowing a panel of experienced professionals to discuss and and debate pathways and trends in the music industry. Island Music Management was founded by Andy in 2015 as a way of housing other career interests such as songwriting, composing and artist development. He is currently working with artist Ulysses Wells. In March 2023 Andy joined the UK Music Futures Board. In 2024, Andy became the co-owner of Strings Bar & Venue on the Isle of Wight. Strings is a 300 capacity venue with a great reputation for providing live music at grassroots level.
