I am a registered UK and European Patent Attorney, and a Patent Attorney Litigator. I handle most types of patent, trade mark and designs work, but particularly relish applications relating to software, semiconductor devices, display devices, electronic systems, optics, and medical devices. I have particular experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of sofware, display devices and electronic circuits.I also provide litigation support for clients in infringement and validity actions, as well as advising on licensing issues.I have lectured in the UK, Europe and Japan, covering various aspects of UK and European intellectual property law. I have also been actively involved in the training of attorneys both within my firm and from other firms. I am a member of UNION.Before joining Lewis Silkin LLP I was Managing Director for 20 years of Miller Sturt Kenyon, a firm of UK and European patent attorneys that provides a full range of intellectual property (IP) legal services.
