An award-winning media, communications and PR professional with over 20 years of experience in the sports industry currently working as The Football Association's Senior Communications Manager for England men.The role is an integral part of one of the highest profile sports teams in the world. To date, I have overseen England's media commitments across 126 senior men's international fixtures including UEFA EURO 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup (semi-finalists), four UEFA Nations League campaigns (2019 bronze medallists), UEFA EURO 2020 (finalists), the 2022 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2024 (finalists). My remit also covers England men's development teams for which I was a part of the 2017 UEFA European U19 Championship winning squad and the 2017 UEFA European U17 Championship finalists.Prior to The FA, I honed my skills as a multimedia sports journalist covering international, national and regional sport for seven years before progressing to the senior management position of Head of Media & Communications at Birmingham City Football Club. During this progression I dealt with the differing demands of the Premier League, the EFL Championship, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Women's Champions League against a backdrop of off-the-field uncertainty surrounding the ownership of the football club. I offer media guidance to a range of sportspeople and organisations including coaching courses such as the UEFA Pro Licence, as a teacher at the PFA Business School and the delivery of lectures on communications strategy to various university courses. Having harnessed a passion for social media to initially become a specialist within this field, I received various accolades for my innovative digital work in the early part of my career. Away from elite football, I invest time in the non-league game and currently hold the position of chairman at Earlswood Town of Midland Football League Division Two.
