Remotely working on EMC Networker datazone support in Europe and the Americas for BP, Stoke on Trent County Council with SCC and Kellogg's in Europe. Single-handedly supporting systems that were out of EMC support and upgrading systems to Networker V8.1.x whilst busy with day to day monitoring and reporting of backup statistics and fixing all errors.Now looking for a new and challenging project role or support role with EMC Networker V8.2, DataDomain

Project - Secure Cloud Computing – British insolvency ServiceInstall, configure and monitor Symantec NetBackup 7.1.0.4 on a combined master and Media server for 200+ VADP backups on a vCenter utilising MSDP as backup storage. Also performing DB2, Exchange 2010, SQL and Oracle application backups.Project - Department of Health new contract, April 2012 – February 2013Install and configure EMC Networker V7.6.3.7 on an entirely virtualised backup environment (All backup servers, storage nodes were virtual machines) and 4x Data Domain 860’s as DDBOOST devices to backup the VADP, AD, SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, Oracle RMAN and Lotus Domino to support the newly created vCenter based customer domain and integrate the legacy systems migrated from the previous system support company.Configuring automated NMC reports for daily backup success and failure rates to be able to provide statistical analysis for the customer.

I was employed to assist in the migration of the Networker datazone to TSM, which is the Barclays Strategic backup system. However, the migration was postponed and thus I was tasked with upgrading and stabilising the Networker backup server. This involved upgrading from V7.5 to V7.6.1 re-configuring the vast Powersnap/BCV and MS Exchange environments that held 60,000 users' data to improve backup success rates by over 20%. I also taught the backup team members how to use Networker so they could support it until the data is migrated to TSM. Deployment of Powersnap onto the Windows 64 bit application platform using EMC VMAX to do snapimage backups over the SAN.

Part of a small team providing 3rd line support of a complex EMC networker environment. Variations of the software from Version 6.1.2 through to Version 7.4 on AIX, HP-UX, Solaris with clients and storage nodes on every available OS platform.Customers included KPN, DSM, NXP and PhilipsError detection and correction has been a major issue due to the increase in the infrastructure and I was mainly assisting in reducing the failure rates and now concentrating on adding new customers and the client servers and ensuring a backup success rate of over 98%. Providing 24x7 ‘on call’ cover of the systems that include SAP, SQL and MS Exchange system backups

Installed and maintained the NetBackup solution used for the 'SAFE' 'ERP' enterprise computer system.Administering the backup servers running on HP-9000 K, L & N series hardware using the HP-UX 11i operating system and Sun Fire V440 hardware using Solaris9.
