• Prepare Motions and Resolutions for approval by the Los Angeles City Council, facilitating legislative and policymaking processes of the City.• Conduct research, provide informational reports, and recommendations to the City Council on policy matters relating to housing, economic development, immigrant affairs, and public safety.• Collaborate with Council Offices, City departments, and other governmental agencies in the creation of Citywide policy and programs.• Serve as lead analyst for the Public Safety Committee, coordinating agenda-setting, staffing meetings, preparing briefing notes, and providing technical assistance for legislative matters relating to public safety.• Assist in drafting, evaluation, and execution of agreements, contracts, Request for Proposals/Bids. • Prepare analyses of departmental budgets, revenues, expenditures, and other matters relating to the City’s annual budget process.

• Directly assisted the Assistant City Administrative Officer by reviewing, revising, and drafting language for reports on Citywide policy matters.• Prepared meeting agendas and materials to facilitate timely and organized regular staff meetings.• Assisted with research and review for program design and initial implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Homeless Strategy and Proposition HHH Bond Program.• Assisted with the day-to-day operation of the Citizen’s Oversight Committee and Administrative Oversight Committee which provided oversight of the Proposition HHH supportive housing bond allocation.• Compiled and created property profiles for the City’s stock of surplus property to serve as the basis for the identification of supportive and affordable housing opportunity sites.• Tracked and provided updates on shifts in federal policy relating to the federal budget, housing, and immigration policy following the election of President Donald Trump.• Coordinated and drafted responses to California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests for the Office of the City Administrative Officer.
