Community Bible Study International serves more than a half-million people in 110 countries around the world. In my current role I work closely with International Regional Directors, U.S.-based volunteers, and national leaders to launch and support classes that facilitate the systematic and in-depth study of God's Word. I also provide strategic direction and develop solutions that drive organizational unity and advance the mission.

Colorado Springs, Colorado Area

In this role I served 12,000+ Community Bible Study International (CBSI) classes by providing administrative support and developing systems and processes to accommodate rapid class growth and ensure mission focus. I worked with six international Regional Directors and about 100 volunteers and communicated regularly with U.S. classes to promote CBSI. My responsibilities included managing our international curriculum which has been translated into more than 75 languages and developing a repository for international curriculum and data on Salesforce.com.

Evart, Mi

As Director, I oversaw all staff and operations for the Michigan overnight camp where we served 33,000 guests and generated $7 million in revenue each year. SpringHill operates year-round and offers a variety of products including summer camp (1st-12th grade students), programmed retreats, and guest group retreats. I had seven direct reports and indirectly led about 25 full time staff and 500 hourly and seasonal staff. I worked to ensure every guest had an outstanding experience in line with the mission, and I coached staff to be effective in their roles and achieve the metrics we outlined for success. I was also responsible for site planning, staff training, meeting margin goals, developing and implementing a growth-focused sales plan, and capital improvements.

Evart, Michigan

In this role I led the teams delivering our retreats and summer camps and oversaw every guest experience on the property. My staff included our summer staff recruiters, programmers, our hosts and guest service specialists, the registration, sales, and marketing team, and the camp’s retail store. I oversaw about 15 full time people and 400+ seasonal and hourly employees. In this role I was also responsible for our recruiting process and for ensuring theological accuracy in our summer curriculum and programs.

Evart, Michigan

In this role I led the summer camp team responsible for our high school summer camps, called Teen Service Team (TST). I recruited, trained, and provided leadership for about 70 college-age young adults who were responsible for leading the roughly 1,000 campers each year. My staff led work crews in the three camp dining halls serving 1,200 campers and staff at each meal, cleaned facilities, maintained the property, and volunteered in the local community for the county fair, school, and city of Evart.

Kampala, Uganda

I was responsible for leading and coaching 26 Africa Gospel Church pastors who led 5 existing churches and 8 church plants in the Kampala area. I partnered with the pastors and helped them to be mission-effective and financially responsible. I taught a variety of topics at a monthly training in Kampala and led the missionary team to develop a revised church planters’ curriculum. I built strategic relationships in order to sustain the ministry.

Evart, Michigan And Seymour, Indiana

Various summers from 1997-2001 I served as a trip director at SpringHill. Wilderness trips took 7th-12th grade students all over the country and included activities like rafting, climbing, hiking, biking, canoeing, and elements of experiential learning. I directed the inaugural wilderness program at the Indiana overnight camp, Seymour, Indiana

Butler, Pa

I served as a Young Adult Director and fulfilled the responsibilities of an associate pastor. While there, I launched a college and career young adult ministry, helped launch a second campus, preached regularly, and led numerous Bible studies, courses, and small groups. After seeing a need for more training in apologetics, I wrote and taught an apologetics course for lay people. I also launched a junior youth group for 4th-6th graders and coordinated the children’s church, equipping volunteers to serve in those ministries.
