I am an experienced technologist and problem solver on the "sell" side of high technology businesses and have worked with C-level executives and organizational leaders in the higher education, financial, government and consumer electronics spaces. I have a wide range of experience in overseeing the development of new technologies that deliver marketable and investable products with a particular focus on, and expertise in, data-intensive systems.I have moved businesses forward by exploiting intellectual property in commercial products to meet customer needs, reduce time to market, and improve margin. I have a full understanding of the workings & business applications of all parts of modern technology from the silicon level all the way up to clusters comprising thousands of nodes. I have experience creating value in well funded organisations as well as "from scratch" on a shoe-string budget. I have productised research & development projects and have often been a pioneer of groundbreaking, early stage technology. My engineering is robust and has been deployed in the field as part of systems with long lifetimes, often with limited serviceability.
