The success of this new initiative required extensive stakeholder engagement with the community, arts organizations, sporting clubs and internal council partners• Worked with high profile European arts organisations to install a community arts space in a derelict rail siding in an area of London undergoing urban renewal• Initiated the early planning and authority engagement for the BBC Radio 1 Hackney 2012 Weekend Olympic event at the Hackney Marshes. Included extensive planning with Radio 1 event producers and the UK’s largest festival producer Festival Republic. Challenging location on small offshore island, successful event despite logistical difficulties• Launch of the Visitor Guide: I organised a large function at one of the resorts to launch the new guide. The project included coming-up with the launch theme, venue selection, contract negotiation, catering arrangements, speech writing and VIP coordination
