About Andy Kohrell

My whole body fitness based journey started over 30 years ago when I switched from clinical science lab work to massage therapy. After finishing my massage certification I worked as a staff massage therapist in a chiropractor's office for 7 years, during my last 2 years there, I finished my Educational Certification in Fitness Instruction from UCLA . Shortly thereafter I moved to San Francisco where I did personal fitness instruction and massage therapy. While in San Francisco, I started taking Pilates for my own self practice that then lead me to go through BASI Pilates Instructor program. I have been a certified Pilates Instructor for over 23 years now. After living in San Francisco for 11 years, the sunshine of Southern California beckoned me back. In Los Angeles, I have expanded my mind body fitness modalities. First I studied and added RedCord Active becoming a RedCord Active Specialist and also faculty for RedCord Active Intro, Multi and Corrective. Then I went through CoreAlign training and went onto become a CoreAlign Master Instructor ( faculty). Lastly I went through MOTR Instructor Training and also became a MOTR Master Instructor (faculty).Besides working with private clients on a regular basis, I also teach workshops through out the year in RedCord, CoreAlign and MOTR.
