About Andy Luu
Hello everyone! I am currently a first-year Master's student pursuing the Accelerated BS/MS degree that Virginia Tech offers. My focus for my MS is HCI (Human Computer Interaction) and I work under Dr. Sang Won Lee in the EchoLab at Virginia Tech. I became interested in HCI when I created my first website in high school using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Since then I have developed an interest in creating interfaces that enhance user interactions and usability which led me to reach out to professors to pursue undergraduate research opportunities in HCI research labs. My undergraduate research during those years led me to pursue graduate studies so I can hopefully contribute meaningful work to designing user-centric interfaces. I hope that for the rest of my time at Virginia Tech and wherever I go next, I will be able to meet and collaborate with fellow students and faculty who share my passion for HCI! Outside of my studies, my habits include playing video games, specifically Minecraft and Pokemon, watching Korean Dramas, and listening to Kpop. If any of you have recommendations for the last two please let me know!
