My duties at Alimak Hek were to provide high-quality services for a variety of customers within specifics time frames, following safe systems of work (SSoW) procedures to keep myself and the people around me free from harm. During this roll I performed mandatory 6-month statutory inspections on Avanti lifts, with any faults identified reported through the proper channels to customers and Alimak management for potential repairs, preparing reports on findings, then completing repairs safely and efficiently once SSoW were in place to proceed. I regularly performed in depth internal inspections of ASL 508 (Lift fall arrest systems) and M508 Traction hoists measuring centrifugal break tolerances, along with taking oil samples, hoist voltage and manual decent speed tests. On completion I would complete reports and suggest the relevant needs such as repair, overhaul or replacement. Routinely travelled to Ireland to perform lift commissioning.I am a proactive, adaptable Mechanical Fitter with more than 10 years of engineering experience. Specialising in Hydraulic schematics and application, Pneumatics, 3 phase electrical systems, power generators, pumps (inspections and overhaul), bulk fuel sites (Design/Supervise/Assembler/Inspector/Commissioner/Maintainer/Repairer)In addition to my personal qualities and experience, I have a strong educational background and a passion for mechanical engineering. I am enthusiastic about being a mechanical fitter and would welcome the opportunity to be able to expend my mechanical knowledge and contribute in the expansion and growth of Wind Industry.
