The objective of the Group Trends capability was to help build a culture of future-thinking within the BP businesses and operations through the provision of best-in-class future trends insight, information and infrastructure.I also spent three months on secondment to Absolute Return for Kids, supporting a venture philanthropy project in International Education, which lead to a new programme in India.

I founded Corporate Intelligence (CI) to support strategic planning, providing objective analysis of market, trend and competitor information. I delivered respected reports and workshops on global market trends, M&A activity, and new product development. Internal clients included the CMO, executive board, and practice leaders. I set up their global knowledge management practice, and UK marketing team.

I was responsible for leading consultancy projects, product innovation and generating new business/marketing and PR. I contributed to several reports and the book Viral Politics, had a column in New Media Age, participated in the Government’s Broadband Stakeholder group and ran industry forums through a partnership set-up with e-consultancy.
