Working closely with the management teams in Qantas Flight Operations, Qantas Ground Operations as well asgovernment organisations, this position reports to the Head of Compliance, QA, Risk & Operations Capacitydeveloping and implementing Qantas Strategy and policy for optimum access to, and efficient use of airspaceand runway capacity to support the Qantas Group Domestic and International strategies. This role isaccountable for managing on a day-to-day basis the Qantas Group relationship with Air Services Australia. This role is responsible for the tactical implementation of changes to deliver improvements to Qantas Domestic and International operationsespecially relating to the use of airspace and airports. Significant internal/external influencing skills andorganisational insight are required for this role. Highly autonomous role working within a highly complex and regulated environment.

This was a development role. I was responsible for negotiating key operational improvements with Airservices on behalf of the IOC. I represented the IOC on the Air Traffic Management Performance Group as part of the Qantas QFutures program. Other achievements include: - The production of Major Disruption procedures to be used during periods of disruption. - Preparation of documentation for Melbourne Airport Low Visibility Operations. - Preparing reports for Qantas management on ATC related issues.

This role involved producing flight plans for Qantas and Singapore Airlines flight crews and managing their European Slot Allocations

During this period I worked for a number of Airlines and was located in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin. The roles I worked in varied form Reservations to Airport Duty Manager. I gained valuable experience in a number of operational and customer focused areas.
