Closing a long-running phase of a more expansive single site DR and BCP data-gathering project, working within the Service Assurance Team and with infrastructure, broadcast network, facilities and incident management colleagues.

Currently in the middle of the most challenging and demanding move schedule at site for many years; coordinating typically 50+ move tasks per week, organising teams of 10+ hardware engineers, all commited within green-zone shifts across weekends to exacting standards.•All Administration for moves (including pulling together migration pack and details)•For small moves to manage the Wintel, Unix, Network etc resource assigned to the project to ensure all planning is setup and completed for the migrations. •Small and large moves must gather and approve contingency plans and risk mitigation plans•Tracking of all information gathered for the migrations•Preparation, planning and speaking with Application/Server Owners to obtain all information required for planning migrations, confirmation of dates, contingency planning. This will include working with the Infrastructure Teams and Application Development Community to analyse Application/Services for special requirements such as Storage, Databases, Market Data, Voice etc•Working with the Datacentre Facilities team to ensure cab allocation, patching and Datacentre is ready to accept servers•Gathering of information for and creation of Migration/move Packs for Move Projects•Work with the Project Team and Application Development teams to resolve issues and queries•Producing weekly statistics•Updating of Project Plans and Risk and Issues Log

Sapphire acquired Database Software Services on the back of their strengths in software consultancy and project management. I was instrumental in the opening of new offices in St. Petersburg, Russia, establishing methods, standards and processes for the core business of legacy database conversion.

When I started working for this small consultancy, there were 4 of us in a shared office. In only a few years, the company grew to a turnover of £ 0.75 M p.a. with a staff of 10. The core expertise was departmental size database applications. I became the first formal Project Manager responsible for clients in numerous industries, including finance, insurance and manufacturing.
