I was responsible for updating the Labs of the CM2020: Operating Systems module.Duties Included:• Updating the lab content from the openSUSE to the Ubuntu operating system• Working with Ubuntu Virtual Machines using VMware Workstation 12• Communicating with University staff to build up requirements that will be used in the updated labs.• Introducing additional content from the ground up which involved Nested Virtual Machines and advanced Linux maintenance• Expanding on existing labs to add detailed diagrams and illustrations for students to followUpon completing my placement, I received very positive feedback regarding my work ethic and exceeding their previous expectations by completing all the labs for the module.Overall I gained a lot of valuable experience during this placement that I will use in my further education and career.
