Vision Therapy (VT) is an optometrist-supervised programme designed to improve the function of the visual system. VT commences once a vision assessment is conducted to determine the nature of visual issue (e.g. binocular vision disorders, convergence insufficiency) and necessity of lens/filters prescription (e.g. pattern glare, visual stress). At VPP, we provide vision assessments and therapy to the following groups of clients whose performance in school or daily function are impeded by visual issues (that cannot be corrected by typical glasses or contacts):1. Learning Disabilities (e.g. Dyslexia, DCD, ADHD) and Special Needs (e.g. Autism, Intellectual Disability)2. Visual conditions (e.g. Stabismus (squint), Amblyopia (lazy eye), Binocular dysfunction3. At the ELF preschool, there is special focus on ensuring that each child is nurtured holistically. We strike a good balance between language/numeracy acquisition and movement activities. This ensures that the children will develop to attain age-appropriate vision, motor and literacy/numeracy milestones.
