Responsible for managing our East of England surveying operation comprising 156 staff based in 23 offices. This required efficient resource management of staff deployment, operations and budgets to ensure the region achieved its production targets in the creation of OS Mastermap layers of data.

Responsible for the management of the London survey team. This included resource management of staff deployment, operations and budgets, management of accommodation, capital items and supplies.

My career in OS began as a surveyor updating OS large scale data. This included:Graphic surveys using a pentop computer on 1/1250 and 1/2500 scale survey data.Instrumental Control Surveys using Total station surveying techniques.Global Position Satellite surveys.Ground completion of Photogrammetric surveys.Technical operations management of survey office.Bespoke surveys for Land Registry and specialist 1/500 scale surveys for Metropolitan Police court evidence.

Selected to represent GB and London on a Rotary International study exchange trip to Taiwan. The main aims were to increase international understanding between the two countries, and I specialised in visiting mapping companies as my main area of study

My early career began with prestige brand Bang and Olufsen. This role included retail sales management, service centre management and marketing activities. During the later years here I became sales/service centre manager with responsibilities for staff management, accounting and product marketing strategies.
