I was an advisor on sentence provisions to the court. In this capacity I had to report about personality issues and make a risk assessment about possible recidivism. The diversity of people and their underlying problems taught me a lot about behaviour and underlying emotional motives. Specialist in sex offenders and forensic psychiatry.Later I have applied my experience in politically sensitive contexts within the Dutch government, mostly in the field of integrity and security clearences at the general intelligence and security service. I also trained operational officers in HUMINT related topics and assisted in several operational projectsCombined, I now have more than 20years of experience in this field. After the service, I became managing partner at the Institute for Nonverbal Strategy Analysis (INSA) The INSA method has helped me to better respond to the intentions and the needs of the people I have conversations with. The predictive value also helped me to determine and explain the behaviour I observe. I also researched the myths arround lie detection and nonverbal behaviors by practice, combining this with knowledge within scientific literature.From February 2022 until februari 2023 I also worked partime for KPMG, as Senior Manager Forensic Integrity & Compliance. Now working as a private contractor at An Gaiser consultancy, I am a forensic behavioral expert, investigative interviewer, (executive) coach and business consultant. I work in both the government as well as for commercial businesses. KPMG and An Gaiser Consultancy BV now collaborate under a contractor agreement.
