The Tribal Energy Leaders Fellowship (TELF) program is being designed to support aspiring Indigenous energy leaders in building their capacity to obtain a broad range of essential knowledge to support their tribes in navigating the opportunities and challenges of deploying clean energy and sustainability technologies, in a way that aligns with tribal culture, leadership, and community objectives.

Leads, manages, and provides strategic direction for two of CAEL’s industry-education partnerships, Energy Providers Coalition for Education (EPCE) and the National Alliance for Communications Technology Education and Learning (NACTEL)• Develops partnerships with employers, labor, workforce development organizations, and post-secondary education to create lifelong learning pathways that support career development• Manages deliverables based on contractual obligations and strategic goals; oversees project budgets,invoices, contracting, and internal progress reporting• Manages governance and advisory councils and curriculum committees• Conceptualized the Native Energy Workforce Education Consortium (NEWEC) and nurtured strategicpartnerships with Tribal Colleges, energy industry partners, public and private partners, andgovernment agencies to support consortium development.• Served as a cohort member in 2020 for Wellspring, a multi-phase initiative of the 1EdTech Foundationand IMS Global Learning Consortium focused on accelerating the education-to-work ecosystem throughnew technologies and data exchange based on open standards.• As part of the STRADA Extraordinary Leader Program, facilitated the Workplace Culture Stretch Project,identified how to scale best practices in organizational health and culture across the network

Facilitated meaningful consultation between tribal leaders, the U.S. Department of Energy, and industrypartners to address issues impacting energy and infrastructure development across tribal lands• Respectfully collaborated with the State and Tribal Government Working Group, the Indian Country Energy and Infrastructure Working Group, and the Nuclear Energy Tribal Working Group• Planned and facilitated two Tribal Energy Summits attended by 500+ Tribal Leaders, U.S. governmentleaders, and staff• Supported strategic planning and partnerships with the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of IndianEnergy, Office of Nuclear Energy, and Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management

Responsible for research, educational program development, public/private partnerships management,writing and administering grants, fundraising, and public speaking engagements• Pivotal in securing $1.5MM in grants and funding acquisitions• Partnered with the Old Northwest Corporation to facilitate the transfer of the historic Old French Houseand financial assets to the Indiana State Museum
