- As Professional Development Manager, my role evolved from providing coaching and work based experiential projects for the Batchelor of Business Administration undergraduate programme to providing practical employability focussed Masters modules for International and domestic students. - I designed an Academic and Careers Skills module for face to face delivery and on-line, independent study using Blackboard and Moodle to support learning. This module design was innovative, in that, it was under-pinned by practical career based skills and competencies to support students in their personal search for career enhancing work placements. Delivery of this course was via an in-house VLE and a new, pilot ePortfolio. - Students were actively supported and coached by myself to develop essential business based skills through experiences and reflective practice. They were also coached and advised on the production of CVs and how to present themselves effectively in interview scenarios. The role required a high level of coaching and motivational skills and diversity and cultural awareness.- I was actively engaged in a number of business-wide strategic working parties including;- the Career Ready Skills Strategic Working and the LTAEC forum. In the latter arena, I represented the company on areas such as employability skills and ePortfolio learning. - I regularly engaged with global stakeholders who championed the initial programme from sites in the US, Mexico and UK.
