A CPA from the Philippines with more than six years of professional work experience, currently pursuing international post-graduate studies in Accounting, while working part-time in Finance and Payroll.Coming from my home country, I have accumulated over five years of hands-on experience across the different facets of accounting. Upon relocating to Toronto at the start of 2023, I undertook post-graduate studies in Project Management and Professional Accounting Practice, while continuing to practice in my field as part of Finance and Payroll.I have handled different accounting processes such as general bookkeeping, receivables and payables management, cash handling, and month-end closing activities including bank reconciliation and assets lapsing. I have furnished monthly financial reports, including 12-month forecast and variance analyses, and collaborated with both local and international audit and tax partners. I have helped clean up years worth of financial data, establish cost centers, and initiate company overall and departmental budgets. At one point, I simultaneously managed the books of common-owned companies from the PH, US, and HK, and performed the monthly consolidation of the parent and subsidiaries' books. I have worked across a span of industries including real estate, solar energy, knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), and non-profit hospice care. I have rendered as well services to US and UK-based clients in a remote online setup. Throughout my career, I have used several accounting software such as Xero, Peachtree - Sage, SAP, Quickbooks, GP Dynamics, and CCIM- HRIS.
