I provide global direction, continuity, and guidance to major subordinate commands (MSCs), major casualty area commands, and military personnel offices for the Army Reserve. In the event of a death (killed in action), I coordinate invitational travel orders with relevant staff members and commands. I manage a $10M budget supporting the Military Funeral Honors program, which covers approximately 14,000 veteran burials annually. Additionally, I oversee the Army Memorialization Program for off-installation facilities, review casualties in the Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS), and certify over $127M in Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) and Family Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (FSGLI) claims each year with Prudential Life insurance. I also assist the Family Programs Directorate with implementing the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) and Survivor Outreach Services, and act as a subject matter expert for USAR military information, providing input to the Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) for senior Army Reserve leadership and Congressional hearings.

Senior Human Resources Manager, Special Action Branch Manager

United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) Fort Bragg, NC My primary responsibility as Program Manager for the United States Army Reserve Command, consisted of managing, directing, giving guidance, and while training 37 major subordinate commands effecting over 225,000 Army Reserve Personnel in the Total Army Sponsorship Program, Special Pay, OCONUS, Leave/Travel and managing of the Personnel Action Guide (PAG). I compiled and analyzed data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments. I prepared reports and presented briefings to inform Command Sergeant Major of the Army Reserve of analysis results for use in the decision-making process of for in process status information. I coordinated and collaborated with external agencies, including the Department of the Army and TRADOC, to revitalize the Total Army Sponsorship Program for the Army Reserve. As the Sponsorship Program Manager, I oversaw the program and developed the Army Reserve's first Sponsorship policy, which was approved by the Chief of the Army Reserve. In partnership with TRADOC, I also created and designed the Army Career Tracker (ACT) Exception to Policy Tool (ETP) and developed Exception to Policy codes specifically for the Army Reserve. This tool, unique to our component, enabledunits to code inbound personnel who might not require sponsorship due to various ETP justifications. As a result, we improved accuracy and efficiency by over 80%, significantly enhancing the management of individual sponsorship requirements through precise personnel coding. Additionally, I updated and revised the USAR Form 62 to standardize sponsorship and in-processing procedures across the Army Reserve. These changes have significantly impacted new soldiers arriving at their units and have contributed to improved retention and overall soldier satisfaction within the Army Reserve.
