While working with Art With Impact, I conducted week-long filmmaking programs with high school students throughout California, with a focus on mental health and mental illness. During the program, myself and a co-facilitator taught students about common mental illnesses, facilitated discussion about mental health in general and stigmas surrounding mental illness, taught basic filmmaking and storytelling techniques, and guided students through the process of making a short film focused on a mental health topic of their choice.
