Angie joined ZFA Structural Engineers' San Francisco office in 2011 and is currently a Principal working mainly in the education and senior living sectors. Her additional experience with a wide variety of projects types, including commercial, high-end residential, hospitality, and low-income housing, gives her insight into a broad range of structural systems, communication styles, and client needs. Angie focuses on strong communication, active listening, and finding the right solution for each unique problem. She leverages her own expertise and the expertise of her colleagues to find the most appropriate path for each project. She is naturally curious and diligent in her designs, documentation, and communication. She works hard to offer her clients more than just good structural design; she provides a partner who can help navigate the complex and often intricate pieces that compose the design and construction of every building.In her spare time, Angie enjoys writing and has co-owned Vow Muse, a business that helps people write their wedding vows, speeches, and ceremonies, since 2010. Vow Muse has been featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and NPR's Marketplace.Angie is also an advocate for women in STEM and has been heavily involved in multiple organizations that work to develop and advance women and girls in technical fields, as well as promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. She joined CREW SF (Commercial Real Estate Women San Francisco) in 2014, subsequently chairing multiple committees and joining the Board of Directors as CFO in 2021. She joined SEAONC's Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) Committee in 2015, co-chaired the committee in 2016-17, and was the lead author of the 2016 SE3 Survey Report and 2016 SE3 Survey Pay Report. She helped start and was the inaugural co-chair for the NCSEA SE3 Committee in 2017-18. She also joined SEAONC's inaugural DEI Endowment Committee in 2021.
