As Benefits Manager for Select, I managed the Complete Benefits Plan and Leave of Absence for 6,300 employees including; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, EAP, LTD, STD, Life, FMLA, various optional benefits, and COBRA.

St Thomas, USVI

• HR Manager to 500 employees, provided reports and pay for 1000+ commissioned agents. Managed all corporate bank accounts/credit cards, and financial transactions for CEO’s personal overseas investments. Processed DOL.
• Studied and learned the industry language in order to complete all necessary applications.
• Liaised with the CEO and gathered information from the most complex applications to prepare a guide for further applications; complete with a reference base on where to retrieve data in the future.
• Studied payroll laws for initial states we were to operate in, and eventually contracted with a payroll company to assure compliance during this incredible growth phase.Impact: Certified Glacial to sell electricity in.
• Relocated to US Virgin Islands within 30 days and immediately began interviewing and hiring finance candidates.
• Developed plan for building Corporate Office staff, while reducing support staff in USA, without service interruption. Impact: The corporate office in St Thomas was staffed by 100 employees with the ability to support.
