Interior Designer - predominantly in Kitchens but also bathrooms and bedrooms, using cad technology. I am responsible for creating clients plans for the selected rooms from planning to pricing and dealing with suppliers during the running of the process. Using my skills I have developed from many years in the retail field I can determine a clients goals, prepare them final plans and create a timeline for the project. I am responsible to ensure the plan is functional, convenient, comfortable and in line with current building codes of practice. I deal directly with trade members, and often direct with the end user also on behalf of the tradesmen.As a kitchen designer I have extremely good listening skills to ensure that my designs are exactly inline with my clients needs, a keen eye for detail and my goal is always to give my clients an experience. The design process should be a fun and stress free process, building rapport so I can unlock their true feelings about the space, and creating their vision! In my current role I have been instrumental on the training and development of existing members of the team to use a pre formatted lead sheet for customers, to capture key pieces of information in the absence of the showroom team. This has opened up the showroom department to other areas of the business thus driving more revenue.

As store manager I was responsible for implementing the current business strategy at store level by driving and hitting the minimum expected levels and targets, along with management of behavioural aspects of the business. Ensuring my team were generating sales and profitability through drive and motivation and minimising costs and risk of loss to the business. Managing all relevant key performance indicators and utilising reports to take appropriate action where required, while ensuring that both individual and store team morale was maintained at a high level on an ongoing basis. I was instrumental in the coaching and development of all of my team, and also via telephone for many others in the region. In this role I was also key to supporting recruitment in the east coastal development and retention of high calibre ‘best in class’ colleagues. I networked and liaised with many levels of the business in order to ensure the best was always achieved in all areas of our business. I was also taken on in this role on a part time basis.
