About Angus Cameron
I have a diverse range of interests and have successfully managed multiple careers concurrently; from tech, to teaching, to theatre, and more. Currently, I am working for a legal technology company while writing theatre. But I also recently completed my Doctorate at the Victorian College of the Arts, where I have been teaching, along with lecturing at Deakin University. I am a skilled multitasker, and enjoy fast-paced flexibility. Over the past few years I was simultaneously working full time on my Ph.D., while being a multi-award-winning writer, as well as working full time in legal technology. I enjoy the balance and freedom this lifestyle affords me and I take great pleasure in excelling in multiple fields. I pride myself on exceeding expectations wherever I find myself, while enabling others to similarly achieve. As a playwright, I've worked with Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Red Stitch and various other independent production companies across and around Australia. My work has also been showcased at Arts Centre Melbourne, the Emerging Writers Festival, and the Hellenic Festival. My play Dirt toured Australia, received over 20 five-star reviews, and was nominated for a Green Room Award for Best New Writing. Other recent credits include Cavemxn (Chapel off Chapel) and Australian Open, which was part of Cybec Electric in 2019, was produced in Sydney in 2020, had a reading at Queensland Theatre and was published by PlayLab. Not limited to practicing the creative arts, I have also worked for the Victorian Government, established not-for-profit organisations, education institutions, and most recently I have worked with the legal technology start-up Settify. Here, I developed a passion for the industry. I've now joined AusLaw Concierge and look forward to continuing to involve myself in tech for as long as I can!I am drawn to definite optimism and helping people achieve their potential. I will always encourage and facilitate those around me to make their dreams a reality. If you have any questions, get in touch!
