About Anika Cook
I’m a multidisciplinary designer working across motion design, textile design, illustration and digital collage, with a special interest in texture, light and colour. I am currently undertaking a Master of Design by research at RMIT University, where I'm looking at experimental illusionistic techniques in motion design, and working as the Textile Designer at ELK, a fashion label known for their distinctive prints.I was the founder and designer of The Gently Unfurling Sneak, a boutique Melbourne label which produced clothing, accessories, artworks and cards with a particular focus on intricate prints and vivid colour. The business grew from a side hustle thirteen years ago to a successful label encompassing wholesale, online and a flagship store in North Melbourne.Prior to starting my own business I worked in the art and design sector with Craft Victoria and was a freelance web designer. My skills include textile design and production, motion graphics and 3D animation, graphic design for print or digital, copywriting, staff management and mentorship.
