NCR Corporation (National Cash Register) is an American computer hardware and electronics company that provides products and services that enable businesses to connect, interact and transact with their customers. Its main products are self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, barcode scanners, and business consumables. They also provide IT maintenance support services to their financial services clients globally.Reporting to IT Service Delivery Manager, I am responsible for successful technical team management, design, development and implementation of critical Java, PHP applications and projects that provide the reliable information NCR’s executives need in service division, IT Service Management and customers across the globe.

Teradata Corporation is a global vendor specialising in developing and selling data warehousing, analytical and business intelligence solutions and services globally to large organisations. Teradata was formerly a division of NCR Corporation, with the spin-off from NCR on October 1, 2007. Working as the Team Lead, I reported to the IT Service Delivery Manager. I have been responsible for successful implementation of critical business applications that provide reliable and timely information for Teradata’s support executives in Service Division, IT Service Management and customers. System Maintenance & Inventory Database (SMDB), 3 monthsApplication maintains the inventory of Teradata’s authorised internal and external applications, internal servers, applications installed on each server and method to install OS related patches on server. Application logs field level changes in database for SOX audit purposes. Approx. 800 users access the application to check applications installed on servers and server statuses. The application developed with waterfall SDLC through engaging 6 developers in JSP, STRUTS 2, ORACLE, JQUERY, JAVASCRIPT, AJAX, TOMCAT and JDBC environment. My key tasks on this application included database design, development of business logic PL SQL & Struts action classes, development of JSP pages, design of report layouts and authoring data import utility for importing existing data.

Teradata @Your Service (T@YS), 12 monthsIt is a portal application for external customer to access their account to download the Teradata software patches (SQL Assistant, ODBC and JDBC Drivers), knowledge articles and log of incidents. I lead the design and development of this Portal application with 8 developers using LIFERAY framework with rich GUI, JSR168, JSR286, JAVA, JDBC, STRUTS2.0, JSP, SERVLETS, TOMCAT, AJAX, JQUERY, AND JAVASCRIPT, Lotus Notes 8.2 About T@YS - Portlet provides links to documents maintained in Lotus Notes or HTML static pages; Portal connects to Lotus Notes from java to articles stored in the database; HTML Static Pages developed to show information to users; JQuery used to show details in popup on screens; Getting Started portlet provides the information to customers “how” to use Application and what’s New in T@YS (maintained this information in Lotus Notes); Feedback portlet collects information and sends the feedback to Teradata administrators for assistance via email; Scrolling Message Portlet fetch the alert message from Liferay database to display as on web page via jQuery Marquee and Support Document portlet provides links to access knowledge articles. Tech Alert portlet provides the list of all Technical Alerts and Electronic Fix to open the documents for assistance to external Customers and through Teradata Email Notification - Customers can request to receive the notification for new and updated Technical Alert and Knowledge Articles
