Roles and Responsibilities:• This project is completely a migration project in which windows xp applications are transformed to work in windows 7• Packaging of applications using wide range of enterprise tools with windows installer technology• AppDNA citrix tool is used in this project to find out the hard coded issues and deprecated components, 16 bit drivers all are sorted out from the generated report • Worked with Wise Package Studio 8.0 for repackaging legacy setup into MSI and Patches(.MSP)• Configuring vendor supplied MSI with Install Tailor to create Transforms (.MST)• Fixing Shims to make them work in Windows 7 environment.• Troubleshooting of packaged Applications• Creating custom actions using VB script, Wise script.• Created SCCM objects manually for the process of converting Package-Model Apps to App-Model Apps.• Used SCCM 2012 and SMTools for deployments and for QA validations.

Creating MSI for Legacy applications and creating MST for Vendor MSI using Wise package studio. My job involves creating a successful package as per the installation instructions document with SLA parameters. Every package has undergone various testing in mentioned environments. It also involves analyzing the installation instructions document to choose the right method to accomplish the successful package release
