About Anish Roy

I call myself a lucky guy! In my over 3 decades in the corporate world, I have been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in Indian industry – Hindustan Unilever, the Aditya Birla Group, PepsiCo, Wipro and now Reliance Jio. I have been fortunate to lead very large businesses and teams, while also getting opportunities to work on some very interesting and off-beat projects during my career. I have had some wonderful bosses whom I have learned from, and I am sure they have enjoyed working with me. I have also been privileged to have in my teams, at various points, some outstanding colleagues who have gone on to become very senior leaders across industries. And, while the respect and goodwill of colleagues are reward enough, I also feel honored to have received the prestigious “Accomplished Leader” award from the Aditya Birla Group Chairman. Nowadays I work in a business which has taken on a transformational project to bring affordable broadband to 100 mln homes across India. Once again, I am lucky to be part of something which may well create history.
