I shadowed the City of Greensboro's Recycling Education Specialist. We conducted recycling education programs, gave tours of facilities, represented GSO Goes Green at various community events, and began a city-wide campaign for making "plarn" (plastic-yarn which can be made from grocery bags) bed rolls for the homeless.

I worked over the summers at the Piedmont Environmental Center where I taught classes regarding environmental stewardship and ecosystems to kids from 1-5th grade. I also accompanied the naturalist on group education hikes.
