I had the privilege of collaborating with my Richardson cohort and team during my internship at Cisco High. This experience provided me with professional and technical insights into the networking industry. Throughout the internship, I gained invaluable knowledge about corporate dynamics and professional conduct through webinars with Cisco employees from diverse sectors. I explored Cisco's technological ecosystem, delving into advanced services such as Cisco IoT, Cisco Meraki, 5G integration, LoRaWAN, Cybervision, and DevNet. This immersion significantly enhanced my technical expertise, particularly in Cisco's cybersecurity frameworks and integration strategies.I managed a team of 12 interns using Jira and Agile methodologies to design a unit-based organizational application. We utilized Panda3D and NumPy libraries in Python to implement advanced bin-packing algorithms, improving cargo load efficiency by 25-28%. Our capstone project addressed a critical supply chain issue in the freight industry, devising a method for optimal cargo orientation using Cisco technologies, reducing manual handling time by 35%.We compared Cisco Cloud Information Storage and AWS Cloud solutions, identifying a potential 15% reduction in operational costs. We also proposed integrating RFID tags for real-time cargo tracking, demonstrating a 30% increase in storage efficiency and a 12% boost in cost-effectiveness based on simulated data. This solution, which could reduce shipment errors by 18%, was presented to a board of 9 Cisco employees and placed under consideration for implementation due to its technical innovation and feasibility.Our project involved creating a detailed presentation for a panel of Cisco employees showcasing our findings and proposed solutions. I also led the development of an online simulation application using a MySQL database, reducing simulation runtime by 50%, further highlighting my contributions to the team’s success.

Throughout my internship at IStart Valley, I led a team of 5 interns to create our startup: UrgentMedic. I led the development of the technical side in designing a Java-based software platform that matches patients to hospitals in real time based on proximity and available resources. This system optimized resource allocation by an estimated 25% across 3 local hospitals, reducing patient wait times and improving overall efficiency. We also presented our ideas to a board of investors in an international startup pitch competition with over 400 worldwide participants. UrgentMedic secured 2nd place, showcasing our solution’s potential to enhance healthcare resource distribution speed by 15%.Additionally, I authored a 12-week STEM blog thread focused on machine learning in medical resource management. This accumulated as volunteering hours used in IStart’s educational facilities. I achieved 148 hours, earning the Presidential Service Gold Medal for outstanding contributions to innovation and STEM education. As part of a startup incubation project, we developed business models using Steve Blank’s Lean Launchpad methodology. Furthermore, we improved the viability of our service in the medical marketplace with product-market fit analyses and evaluated an addressable market valued at over $2 million. As previously mentioned we secured 2nd Place for Most Innovative Business Plan which earned us a $300 investment towards implementation. I refined my entrepreneurial skills through Stanford University’s Design Thinking Crash Course where I explored the application of AI, blockchain technology, and automation to solve complex problems in the real world. Throughout this experience, I coordinated weekly reviews with other interns and guided my team in strategic planning for our startup. This experience significantly deepened my expertise in applying technology-driven solutions at the intersection of business and healthcare.
