It took me 21 years to find the field that perfectly merged my strong interests of computer science, mathematics, numerical analysis & collaborating with others! During my final semester of senior year at the University of Connecticut, I took two courses that changed the trajectory of my future. Those two courses were artificial intelligence and cognitive science. Those courses left me with an ongoing fascination that I had never quite experienced before. After graduating, my curiosity only grew stronger. Since then, I have taken multiple courses on these subjects & I always enjoy discussing and learning new things about the world of artificial intelligence. I graduated during the pandemic in May 2020. Though I did not land a job in the artificial intelligence space, I found a job that helped me learn a lot about myself and others. Working as a manager taught me a lot about my interest in helping people. I really enjoyed getting to know my coworkers & helping them reach their career goals. I learned a lot about conflict resolution and the importance of empathy, diversity & teamwork in the workplace.During that time working as a manager, with my fleeting time for myself, my interest in artificial intelligence only became stronger.
