International Programme Manager

Current

The Hague

As an international programme manager for the Performing Arts Fund NL (Fonds Podiumkunsten), my job is to promote Dutch performing arts abroad, and make useful connections between the Dutch and international performing arts sector and its artists. I am an advocate for Dutch (music) theatre and dance professionals, for playwrights and the sector of performing arts for children. My main task as programme manager is to connect Dutch(-based) artists to international partners, to commission the presentation of Dutch shows, and to invite international professionals to showcases and/or visitor's programmes. In this perspective I closely collaborate with the Dutch performing arts' scene, with festivals and venues in The Netherlands and abroad, but also with stakeholders like ministries (foreign affairs and culture), Dutch Culture and Dutch embassies. To stay up to date about the developments in the performing arts, I watch - still with a lot of pleasure and enthusiasm - approximately 150 performances a year.Between October 2014 and January 2022 the programme of Fonds Podiumkunsten that I worked for, was called Dutch Performing Arts.

Oct 2014 - Present

Project Coordinator

Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands

As the Conservatorium of Zuyd is the leading partner of the Erasmus+ Project EOALAB (European Opera Academy LAB), I have been working as the project coordinator of this project, from 7 months after it started until its end. In total 7 Higher Music Education Institutes in Europe (Parma, Porto, Vilnius, Riga, Antwerp, Stockholm and Maastricht) plus the network organization of conservatories AEC in Belgium were participating in this project. The end date of the project was 28 February 2022, its running time in total 37 months, due to covid. The project result was very positive, without budget cuts; its final score was 8,1.

Oct 2019 - Feb 2022

Project Coordinator & Research Circle

Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands

In 2014 I co-wrote an application for an Erasmus+ project, for the department Bachelor of Dance Education of ArtEZ, together with HEI's in Sweden and Denmark. Its title was 'Next Move', and it touched upon the redefiniton of the Dance and Music teacher. After this application had been granted I became project coordinator for ArtEZ, for the full three years; the project got a score of 8,8 from Erasmus+. After this I remained connected to ArtEZ for the same department, and played a role in the Research Circle of the Academy of Theatre and Dance, in which we had the goal to further develop interdisciplinary research in the performing arts field.
