A-id: Agenda for International Development is a not-for-profit think tank devoted to proposing novel solutions to equitable international development through the dissemination of policy-focused research.- My tasks as a part- time intern involves desk-based research- work,-assisting the Communications Unit in the development, coordination and implementation of communication and outreach strategies, and-assisting in the organization of events and the drafting of content for publications, social media and other channels.

Humanity Research Consultancy (HRC) is a social enterprise, based in the United Kingdom that provides expert supply chain investigation, training and consultancy services, and evidence-based policy insights to governments, NGOs and corporations to end forced labour, modern slavery and human trafficking, globally.-I had the opportunity to join the fellowship program at HRC and get trained in research consultancy and supply chain assessments along with 7 other fellows - I regularly participated in discussions and contributed to providing insights on policies focusing on ending modern slavery and human rights abuses.- I collaborated with a fellow and over the period of 12 weeks engaged in research- work on the issue of sex- trafficking and collated a report within the tight deadlinesFinal Project: A comparative analysis of sex trafficking laws and media perception and mapping relevant stakeholders over the period of 20 years in India and Bahrain; Co-Author: Ali Adenwala

WTMY is a small NGO that works with the street-connected communities within Kathmandu, Nepal. One of the key functions of WTMY is to educate and advocate for the best interests of the communities they support. I researched and developed strategies for delivering community outreach effectively post- lockdown in Nepal and made detailed plans on how WTMY could implement those successfully.

UN Information Centre (UNIC- UNDP) serve as a reliable source of up-to-date information about the UN and delivers information to a wide and varied audience.-I worked closely with the Communication Officer (Campaigns and Advocacy) and under the overall guidance of the Communications Specialist,- also supported the Unit in research, advocacy and social media outreach for UN in India campaigns. -I also provided documentation support ( extensively used MS Office) as required and requested by my supervisor.

Enactus is the world’s largest platform dedicated to social change and developing entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators to create a better, more sustainable world.-As the HR head of Enactus Miranda House, I managed a team of 40+ members, liaised with the various heads of the departments and the members and the college administration, -planned and devised strategic campaigns to recruit new members, -managed basic data work and routine record-keeping. -I was also a team member of Project Jazba, which aimed at constructing a safe space for survivors of acid- attacks in New Delhi and worked along with the project team of 8 members to open a beauty salon as an entrepreneurial venture for them. Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (Model Village Scheme) is a rural development programme in India, broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community.-I had the opportunity to work in the adopted village of Ms Meenakshi Lekhi, village Pillanji in New Delhi as a field intern. -We were a team of 5, working together with Anganwadi workers (The Anganwadi worker is a community based front line worker who plays a crucial role in promoting women and child growth and development) and researching on menstrual hygiene and menstrual waste management in the village.-Our primary tasks were to engage with women of the village and learning from their varied experiences of menstruation and preparing a draft report to provide recommendations under the government scheme.

Qrius (formerly, The Indian Economist) publishes authoritative commentary & analysis on economics, business, policy, technology & culture.As an intern, my tasks included creating an effective marketing strategy and working closely with the Marketing Head to identify and execute areas of growth.

K. T. S. Tulsi is an Indian politician and a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India. -I had the absolute privilege to be working under him and with his team of 20+ budding lawyers and established advocates, as the only intern purely trained in sociology. -We worked on a PIL for acid- attack survivors. I also had the opportunity to carry out independent socio-legal research, aid in information management and witness first- hand, the process of drafting. -My internship experience gave me an opportunity to combine sociology and law.

The Moot Court Society (MCS) is the student committee entrusted with the responsibility of administering mooting activities. The MCS' role is to facilitate and regulate mooting at Delhi Public School R.K. Puram. It involves planning, organizing and executing the various moot court competitions that are hosted by the school.-My tasks as the second- head after the President, included smooth functioning of the club and being accountable to the department administration as well as the school administration. -I was also one of the points- of contact with team members from different schools across India and worked with 5+ members in effectively handling the event.
