I matched suitable candidates to vacancies; it was very rewarding when employers and young people thanked me for doing my job, so there was a high level of job satisfaction involved.I also enjoyed the lead generation aspects of this role. I was involved with creating email marketing campaigns to help fill various short courses, such as one-day food hygiene and first aid courses. This role also involved assisting with management and financial reports, such as sector profiling and raising cheque requisitions for the AGE report that came from the Skills Funding Agency. I also helped my colleague with the ESF contract project where I interviewed employers and filled in induction documentation for various short courses. Achievements:My emails converted well and I was able to fill every course using my online marketing and cold calling skills. I met all targets I was given, including the apprenticeship targets for the year. As part of the Skills and Enterprise team, we were recognised by the Principal and given the team of the month award for March. The Principal gave each of us a personal letter to thank us for our part in bringing in over £100,000 of funding for the college. I asked if I could be trained on the Link Helpdesk, as there was only one other person who did this job and it caused issues when he was absent. As part of this role, I performed online credit checks on potential customers and helped customers choose the best phone and tariff to suit their needs. I was given the job of acting team leader to cover my line manager’s maternity leave, managing a team of 8 people. After this, I worked as a HR assistant, which involved various duties, such as processing holiday requests and sick leave and helping with payroll. I was then asked to help with recruitment for a new sales team. I shortlisted candidates by interviewing them over the telephone. It was a natural progression to move into another department, and take a new role as a Project Management co-ordinator. I was tasked with setting up an induction program for new starters in the direct sales team. I shortlisted candidates,set up interviews and led the welcome/icebreaker session for the new starters.I asked my manager about product training, as there was none available, and I was consequently promoted to Product Training Manager where I designed and delivered product training for the direct sales team. My final role was in the Business Sales Department as a Business Relationship Manager. This was an account management role, maintaining a database of 500 SME clients. services.
